VPN Issues? Check here first!
There are a few things to check when you're having VPN issues.
Read the error message carefully. It has information that will help you determine what the problem is.
If this is your problem, try the following steps to try to fix your issue.
- Are you using the right credentials?
- The VPN uses the same user name and password that you would use to access your computer if you were in the office, i.e. your user name and password.
- Generally, your user name is always the part of your email before the @ sign - so for Jane Doe, with an email address of jdoe@trustednursestaffing.com, their user name is simply jdoe.
- Your password should always be synchronized between the server, your computer, and Office365. As such, to test your password, go to portal.office.com and try to sign in with your email address and password. If you can log in, then your password should work in VPN.
- Once you're sure of both your user name and password, you should be able to go to the VPN settings and clear out the incorrect credentials and add in the correct ones. Search for VPN in the Windows search box and click on the app that pops up.

- Then, simply click on the Clear Credentials button in Windows 10 or Windows 11 and then go into Edit and re-enter your proper credentials.
- Do not make any other changes other than clicking the "clear sign-in info" options!
- If your password did not work, or if your password is different for Office365 and your computer, then your passwords are not in sync, and you may have problems with your VPN access. If that's the case, write to helpme@trustednursestaffing.com (or helpme@millstaffing.com if you're from Millennium) and we'll help you get back in sync!
- Are you connected to the internet? Try opening a web browser and going to Google.com and search for anything - dog food, cat pictures, ferret war dancing - and confirm you're able to search for things.
- If none of the above works, write to helpme@trustednursestaffing.com (or helpme@millstaffing.com if you're from Millennium) and we'll help you get onto the VPN as soon as possible!
